Are Free Slots the Same?
Introduction
Of all of the different questions surrounding free slots, be they slot machines in the online world or the offline world, the one about similarity is perhaps the most difficult to answer. Depending on who you are, the answer to the question “are free slots the same?” is an obvious yes or an obvious no. This is the difficulty in answering questions like this and the only thing that can really be done to remain as impartial as possible is to present both sides of the argument and then let you decide for yourself which side of the argument you would like to believe.

The Yes Position
There are many people that will vehemently argue that free slots are the exact same as conventional slots. They will argue that the only difference between the two slot machines is the fact that one requires you to pay and one does not and that is not a difference that is actually essential to the slot machines. In other words, they will acknowledge that free slots do not require money and for that reason are different from conventional slots, but they will also point out that everything else about the two slot machine types tends to be the same.
For example, if you look at the slot machines that are available in the online casino world, you will immediately notice that the actual running of the slot machines is the same. While the Tomb Raider Slots might require money in one instance and might require nothing in another instance, the big thing to keep in mind is that it is the exact same slot machine in both instances. Nothing has been changed about the actual programming of the slot machine or the way in which it operates the reels and for that reason people taking the yes position will argue that free slots are the same as paid slots.
The No Position
Just as there are vehement people that will make that argument however, so too are there vehement people that will take the opposite position. The main argument for these people is essentially the reverse argument from the yes position. People taking the no position will start by acknowledging the point made by yes people, stating that it is quite true that in most cases there is no difference between the way in which free slots and paid slots of the same name are operated. This means that in functional terms, the two slot machine types are identical.
However, once they have established that point of agreement, people of this position tend to then go to the next level and suggest that the lack of payment is such a serious difference that by itself it is good enough to make the two slot machine types very different. Casinos are about gambling, they argue, and for that reason anything that is not gambling is very different.
Conclusion
Which view you take depends entirely upon the way you look at the problem, but one thing is definitely sure. You can get a similar functional experience from free slots if you choose to play them instead of paid slots.
